What we didn’t like about the Kaytee 100509410 My First Home was that it was impossible to assemble. The pieces didn’t fit together well and required a lot of careful force to get them in place. Once you get it together, you don’t want to take it apart, so cleaning is a challenge. You must scrub the cage down using the small top and front doors. There is no removable waste tray like on many other brands. Also, all of the plastic is flimsy and would flex and buckle under the weight of our guinea pig as he moved over it. There is a divider in the middle, and once you have the two platforms in place, there is not much room in the cage for the guinea pig. This page is best as a travel or temporary home.
